Emotional intelligence is an essential skill for maintaining effective communication, strong relationships, and a positive work environment in agricultural workplaces. Farms, orchards, packhouses, and agri-processing facilities often operate under demanding conditions, tight production schedules, and physically intensive work. In these environments, how individuals understand and manage their emotions, as well as respond to others, plays a key role in ensuring smooth operations, teamwork, and overall productivity.
In this course, you will develop practical skills to recognise, understand, and manage emotions in the workplace. You will learn how to improve self-awareness, control emotional responses, and communicate effectively with others in high-pressure situations. The course also covers empathy, conflict management, and relationship-building to support respectful and efficient collaboration. These skills help improve teamwork, reduce workplace conflict, and ensure consistent performance during demanding and time-sensitive production periods.
